Here are More Options for Table Covers that are easy on the budget. I’m forever on a quest for wallet-friendly options for styling tables. I have a favorite online resource that is relatively inexpensive for plain tablecloths. That’s just fine and dandy but sometimes I want a little more pizzazz so I look for other sources. Thrift shops are at the top of my list, as is my linen closet. This is where it’s time to think outside the commercial tablecloth box. Check out the tables below to see what table cover I used for them.
Creative Options for Table Covers
Lavender Sheers (62×63 each panel) Creative Ideas for Table Covers
These lavender white sheers with lavender flowers almost made the trash pile before my daughter asked if I wanted them. I used two sheers for this table. In addition to a pretty everyday table, this would also be suitable for Mother’s Day, bridal showers, or even a sweetheart or cake table.
Beige/White Gingham Full Sheet (54×75) Unusual Table Covers and Where to Find Them
Lucky was the day that I walked into the thrift store and found this sheet. Although I’ve only used it once in the summer, I see potential to use this neutral palette year round.
Navy Blue Twin Sheet (39×76) Another Use for Tea Towels
This sheet was tucked away in my linen closet for 17 years before I brought it out of hiding. When our youngest daughter was in high school she was a member of a junior sorority. For graduation, each girl received a sheet set to use in their college dorm room. Our girl didn’t leave town while in college so it sat unused until the light bulb went off and I pulled it out.
Wooden Look Vinyl Photography Backdrop (5×7) Cinco De Mayo Table Decorations
When I styled my Cinco de Mayo table with this wooden-look vinyl photography backdrop my family was put on notice to be extra careful and not spill anything on it. I wasn’t sure if spills or cleaning up a spill would damage it. Luckily, there weren’t any mishaps.
Velvet Embossed Curtain Panel ( 46×96) A Gathering of Gentlemen
Hobby Lobby has an awesome clearance section where I’ve found lots of pillow covers and this single curtain panel. It feels almost like satin and is embossed with velvet swirls. I found the fur piece the same day. My tablescaping fairy godmother must have been looking out for me.
Red & Black Throw (50×60) It’s a Plaid Plaid World
This throw was a bit smaller than I wanted for my banquet table but for the rock-bottom price of $10.00 at Big Lots I made it work.
Brown Velour Throw ( 50×60) Rustic Glam Holiday Table
Burlington’s is another one of my go-to places for inexpensive housewares and pretty much everything else. This brown velour throw was almost a Christmas present for my daughter-in-law but I couldn’t part with it. Don’t worry she was gifted with a different one.
More Options for Table Covers – Newest Thrifted Finds
White/Yellow/Gray shower curtain – I’m waiting until we get closer to spring to use this and I have napkins in the same color palette, plus gray dishes. I can’t wait!!!
Blue/White Gingham Twin Bed Sheet – Look for an all thrifted/dollar store table with this sheet coming soon.
White Knit Ribbed Fabric – This fabric is knit and I’m not sure if I want to use this as the base cloth or an overlay. One thing for sure, I can use any color combo my little heart desires.
When it comes to looking for other table cover options, I am open to suggestions. If you can think of anything else, please let me know.
