Mom, Momma, Mommy

Is it just me or is spring barreling through faster than the speed of sound? It was winter that I was in a rush to get through, not spring and surely not summer. I along with a cazillion other complained incessantly about the cold and snow. Well we don’t have snow (fingers crossed) and our temps are anything but warm. That didn’t stop Easter, and Mother’s Day is upon us.

If you’d like to set a pretty table for mom, the mom in your life or you I have a few ideas to share with you. I also have paired them with a dessert that would work perfectly with it. And yes my hair was very big when I was a teenager, hee-hee!
Feast your eyes upon these:

Purple Daze Table
Lavender Cordial Bundt

Lemon Meringue Cake

My plans as of today are to be very lazy on Mother’s Day and probably overindulge. How about you, what are your plans?

Yikes! Your hair WAS big back in the day!!! I’ll have to share a photo of mine with you some day that will have you rollin’ in the aisles. What in the world were we thinking??!?!??!!?!

I’ve yet to try the lemon meringue cake, but it’s on my baking “To Do” list. I need to get busy. Once the really hot weather kicks in, I’m not tryin’ to turn that oven on very much. I have a little toaster oven that gets a good workout during the summer along with the slow cooker. That’s the best I can do! It gets SO hot!!!!!!!

I want you to have the most wonderful Mother’s Day you can possibly muster. You have a lot to be proud of with your children, and I know that they know they have a great Mom. Take care, little chick!
