For every Christmas for as long as I can remember my holiday décor has been the same. I’ve felt that I had to use every piece I own. This year a few a things are getting a rest. Two things that will remain the same are the mantels over the fireplace and all of the ornaments the kids made when they were little. They look forward to seeing them and so do the Mr and I. There are tons of memories and laughs that go along with most of them. How could I leave these in a plastic bin?
I am a Trekkie and I’ve had the Starship Enterprise for years.
Oh how I miss my furry son. I’ll be a blubbering mess when I hang this one.
I have a different idea for my Dept 56 pieces this year. Hope I can pull it off.
This Hummel Little Drummer Boy belonged to my mom. It has several cracks and glue spots that make it even more special.
We should never lose sight of the real for the season. Decorations, trees and sweet treats are all find and dandy, but being with our loved ones is the most precious gift of all.
